Since its launch on July 17, 1999, SpongeBob SquarePants has reigned as the number one kids’ animated series on TV. SpongeBob SquarePants is created by Stephen Hillenburg and produced by Nickelodeon in Burbank, CA. The character-driven cartoon chronicles the nautical and sometimes nonsensical adventures of SpongeBob, an incurably optimist and earnest sea sponge, and his undersea friends. The Broadway production of The SpongeBob Musical earned its place on 2017’s “Best of Broadway.” The SpongeBob Musical was named Best Musical and earned 12 Tony Award nominations – the most nominated musical of the 2017-2018 theatre season.

All aspiring performers unite at Bikini Bottom!! This class will explore all aspects of musical theater, singing, dancing, and acting as we explore The SpongeBob Musical! Students will learn choreography to fun songs from the show such as Best Day Ever, BFF’s and Bikini Bottom Day.

This class explores all components of improving your acting skills. Learn the top 10 common mistakes of beginning actors and how to overcome them. Enjoy each session as we dive in to a script and get into character as a crazy band of pirates! A fun class for the star to be!

Your mini performer will discover the stage is the happiest place on earth as they learn the ins and outs of musical theater Pirate Style! Why do we sing our stories? Why do we break out in dance? How do you get in a show? What is an audition? Your performer will have a ton of swashbuckling fun, Pirate style!

Scholarships are available through grants from organizations including Publix Super Markets, Sharing Change (A Middle Tennessee Electric Charitable Foundation), Tennessee Arts Commission, Jennings Jones Foundation, and Smyrna Rotary Club Charities.
