Sunday, April 21st (6:30pm-9:30 pm) & Monday, April 22nd  (7pm-9:30pm)

Callbacks (if needed) – Wednesday, April 24th  (7:00pm-9:30pm)

Audition Material:

We will be casting 3 Actors (2 Male and 1 Female)

Dance Ensemble of 2 – 4 (do not have to sing) - Modern, Lyrical, and Ballet “style”

 

Due to the small cast, we are seeking the best Voices to fit the roles.  The Music Auditions will be BLIND AUDITIONS (similar to “The Voice”).  The Audition Panel will be seated behind a screen and will only know the auditionees by Number.  Decisions for callbacks will be made entirely by number.

 

The Music Auditions may be RECORDED – only as reference for the Audition Panel.  They will not be disseminated to any other persons and will immediately be deleted after Callbacks are finished and the show has been cast.

 

The Music Auditions and the Dance Auditions will be on the same evenings but will be held separately. Dance auditions, if asked to stay, will start at 830 each audition night.

 

For auditions:

  • Music Auditions - Prepare a 1-minute song in the style of the show. Please come prepared with a track for your song as there will be no accompanist. You can use a cell phone, tablet, etc. We will have the appropriate cables to connect your device.

  • Dance Auditions – You will be taught a short dance by our Choreographer in the style of the show.  Please come dressed to dance in a Modern, Lyrical, and Ballet “style”. 

  • This show is ages 20+ - you must be 20 prior to show opening.

  • If callbacks are needed, you will be notified the morning of Tuesday, April 23rd if you are being asked to callbacks on Thursday April 24th.   

 

This show is age 21 and up.  NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE TO THIS.

 

Rehearsals:

Rehearsals will be on:

  • Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 7:00 PM –9:30 PM

  • Some rehearsals will be held off-site at the Director’s home

 

Please bring a list of all known conflicts to auditions as this will help to determine the final schedule.

The first rehearsal is on Monday, April 29th at 7:00 PM – It will be an ALL CALLED Read-Through at CFTA.   It is mandatory for everyone to attend and fill out paperwork.

 

A final schedule with conflicts and scene/music breakdown will be provided at the read-thru

​

Tech Week is Sunday, July 7th  – Thursday, July 11th . NO CONFLICTS WILL BE ALLOWED DURING TECH – There are no exceptions to this. 

 

SHOW DATES:

  • Starting July 12th through July 21st

    • Fridays at 730pm (6pm cast call)

    • Saturdays at 2pm & 730pm (1230pm cast call)

    • Sundays at 2pm (1230pm cast call)

  • Strike will follow the final show and all cast members are required to help with Strike

Jon

A struggling composer on the brink of his 30th birthday. Michael's roommate and Susan's boyfriend.

Gender: Male

Age: 25 to 30

Michael

A former actor-turned-market research executive. He is Jon's roommate and best friend.

Character Doublings include: COUNTER GUY, DAD, and MARKET RESEARCH GUY.

Gender: Male

Age: 25 to 35

Vocal range top: Gb4

Vocal range bottom: Bb2

 

Susan

A dancer and Jon's girlfriend. Sexy, kind, independent.

Character Doublings include: KARESSA, ROSA, JUDY, and MOM.

Gender: Female

Age: 20 to 30
