Audition Material:

For auditions:

• Prepare a 1-minute song in the style of the show. Please come prepared with a track for your song as there will be no accompanist. You can use a cell phone, tablet, etc. We will have the appropriate cables to connect your device.

• Dress to move in case you are asked to stay for a dance audition. Not everyone will be asked to stay and dance.

• This show is ages 16 and up (with the exception of the roles of “Young Tarzan” & “Young Terk” which age limit is 10 and up)

• If callbacks are needed, you will be notified the morning of Tuesday, April 31st if you are being asked to callbacks on Wednesday, May 1st  

 

Rehearsals:

Rehearsals will be on:

• Monday, Tuesday, & Thursdays (6:45pm-9:00pm – Moving to 9:45pm in June)

• Sundays – 6:00pm-9:00pm

 

Please bring a list of all known conflicts to auditions as this will help to determine the final schedule.

The first rehearsal is on Monday, May 6th at 6:45pm – It will be an ALL CALLED Read-Through in the Gallery.   It is mandatory for everyone to attend and fill out paperwork.

 

A final schedule with conflicts and scene/music breakdown will be provided at the read-thru

Tech Week is Saturday, July 13th – Wednesday, July 17th. NO CONFLICTS WILL BE ALLOWED DURING TECH – There are no exceptions to this.

Please know that age ranges are just that, a range. If you are interested in auditioning for a role, but do not fall between the age range of the character, please do not let that hinder you from auditioning.

 

Kala

A gentle mother ape. Kerchak's mate and Tarzan's protector.

Age: 30 to 45

Kerchak

The gruff leader of the gorillas and Kala's mate.

Gender of Character:  Male

Age: 40 to 50

Leopard

A fierce carnivore that threatens both gorillas and humans.

Young Tarzan

An innocent young boy. Loses his parents and is raised by the apes.
