CFTA Vocal Academy Audition Workshop

We are thrilled to be able to offer an "Audition Workshop" on Saturday, July 15th.

​

Come learn best practices of auditioning for a show. Please note, this audition workshop will focus on the singing aspect of an audition.

*This audition workshop is for high school age and up*

 

When:                             

Saturday, July 15, 2023

9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Where:                           

Center for the Arts - Art Gallery 

 

Why:                                

Help prepare for fall and winter show auditions.  

​

Cost:                                

$40 per participant  

 

Prepare:                         

Singing – Please prepare a 1-minute cut which will be performed and then offered commentary by the                                                instructor. 

 

Format:

90-minutes of instruction and things to consider 

90-minutes of audition singing and coaching

OUR VOCAL ACADEMY DIRECTOR

Royce Phillips is the CFTA Vocal Academy Director! Royce works directly with our voice teachers. He also focuses on administering educational programming for community members of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels by overseeing the curriculum design, instruction, vocal recitals, and community programs to aide in the elevation of vocal learning in our community.

ABOUT ADAM PINGEL

After studying theatre in college, Adam Pingel worked as an actor and a high school theatre director. Recently seen as Max in the Center for the Arts' production of The Sound of Music, other acting credits include Macbeth (Macbeth), Gerg Nowack (She Loves Me), Hamlet (Hamlet), Dickon (The Secret Garden), Smudge (Forever Plaid), and more. His experience directing over a dozen productions includes shows such as Everyman, White Christmas, Rashomon, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Into the Woods, Footloose, It's a Wonderful Life, and more.

 

Adam currently works in corporate learning and development with a communications and leadership training company, The Ariel Group.
